"THERE'S A STORM COMING, MR.WAYNE"
EXIF: 33.0mm; f/5.6; 1/3200s; ISO 400
Inspite of living in a coastal city, it is not often that we visit the beach (Ghar ki murgi dal barabar?). This was shot during the last monsoon at a less famous beach in Mangalore called Tannirbavi. We were tired of being holed up indoors due to the incessant rains, and that particular day turned out to be quite bright and sunny, which is when we decided on this impromptu visit.
Before we knew it, dark clouds began to gather and it looked like there would be a storm blowing soon. The sunlight filtering through the clouds to create a 'spotlight' on the surface of the sea was indeed a beautiful sight to behold, and also made for a neat shot of the angry, inky grey sea.

ReplyDeleteYeah, we all do that. We skip nearby locations and travel to far away places. Beautiful shot. I love these pepping sun shots.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Saru! I can never get enough of sunset shots too!
DeleteBeautiful picture, so people who live near the beaches don't visit them that often?
ReplyDeleteThank you Mridula! It isn't very often that we visit, owing to time constraints, etc. (can speak only for myself though)
DeleteWow! Love all the beaches of home town and this one as well! The spraying Sun sneaking through clouds is always serene to watch especially after evening rains with azure sky
